From monochromatic to high contrast, the On The 9ine collection offers a wide variety of tonal variance based on the color choice. A low color variance means each plank is relatively close in color to all the other planks delivering a monochromatic finished floor. A high variance color rating delivers a much more random assortment of contrasting planks to add interest and depth to your installation.
All On The 9ine products are Lacey Act Compliant, which protects against illegal logging around the world. Our American Hickory and European White Oak products are sustainably forested, which means the woods we use only come from forest managed under an environmental and socially responsible manner. Furthermore, On The 9ine is LEED Certified, which makes it easy for builders to distinguish between practical and green building design and construction. Our commitment to the environment is only topped by our drive to bring you the most beautiful and durable floors we can and deliver those on an affordable budget to help enhance any installation. Our protective hard wax oil finish enhances the natural highlights of the wood’s colors. The oil seeps into the wood and brings out the inherent beauty and characteristics of the wood grain. To protect the surface, the tough protective wax coating creates a solid barrier that helps keep your floors beautiful through the years. In the event you do get a scrape or scratch, the hard wax oil finish allows for spot repair.
Our Titanium ScuffGARD finish gets its strength from the aluminum oxide nano-tech particles embedded in the urethane coating. Did you know aluminum oxide is almost as hard as diamond? With a Mohs hardness rating of 9 (diamond being 10), your ScuffGARD-finished floors are backed by our 50 year limited residential and commercial warranty. Engineered hardwood floors are more resistant to moisture and humidity than solid hardwood, so they can be installed below, on, or above grade. Under adverse conditions, solid hardwood floors can warp, cup, swell or split apart. Engineered hardwood flooring overcomes these problems by constructing a multiple-ply plank which counteracts twisting and remains flat and intact.
A Baltic Birch hardwood core is much more stable than soft wood. It provides superior structure stability and minimizes expansion and contraction of the floor. Most manufacturers use poplar, compressed fiber board or other soft wood options to reduce cost as well as reduce weight allowing them to ship more, due to freight restrictions.
There is no expensive equipment required. With proper care, a prefinished hardwood floor will never need to be professionally sanded or coated. Regular dust mopping or vacuuming is essential to the care of hardwood floors. A good quality dust mop or vacuum attachment is the most effective tool for cleaning dust and dirt off the floor. Always use Regal Hardwoods recommended cleaning products. We have put these products through tests on all our collections, and they have delivered the best results. Our European White Oak colors feature the Nature GARD hard wax oil finish; we highly recommend using Woca Natural Soap for post-installation maintenance and every day cleaning. Woca Natural Soap is made up of emollients extracted from soy beans and coconut oils, which also retain the moisture in the floor, just as quality soap would for your hands. As they dry and form an invisible film on the surface, the floor receives added protection against wear and dirt. Natural Soap is only to be used for cleaning and maintenance of oiled, waxed, and soaped surfaces.
We strongly recommend using Pro-Care Citrus Floor Cleaner for our Titanium ScuffGARD finish, and WOCA Natural Soap on our Nature GARD finish. We no longer recommend the use of Bona floor cleaners on any of our hardwood products. Never use wax on top of a non-wax surface finish. Do not use household all-purpose cleaners similar to Formula 409, Orange Glo, Old English, dishwashing detergents, and paste wax. Consult our Tips and Care sheet for more info.
Spills – Wipe up spills immediately with a lightly dampened cloth, then follow up with a recommended cleaning product. Stubborn Stains - lightly dampen a soft cloth with a Regal Hardwoods recommended hardwood floor cleaner (Pro-Care Citrus Floor Cleaner for Titanium ScuffGARD finish and Woca Natural Soap for Nature GARD finish). Apply directly to the stain and repeat as necessary. Scratches - On the European White Oak floors, it is possible to perform spot repairs. We highly recommend contacting a professional floor covering repair expert to address gouges and/or scrapes. If necessary, use WOCA Oil Refresher for restoring luster and beauty to oiled wood floors. This adds a protective moisture-resistant layer to the surface of the floor and will extend the life of the oil finish.
During installation of flooring pieces, push or gently tap boards flush to the previous row. To prevent damage to the finish, avoid tapping the face of the board with a rubber mallet. Please do not use any tapes on oil finished floors. Never adhere tape to finished flooring. Regal Hardwoods recommends an initial coat of Woca Natural Soap right after installation for maximum protection/resistance against stains/dirt/moisture.
We recommend InstaLay flooring installation system because it reduces sub-floor preparation and eliminates the need for wet adhesives, making installation quick, clean, and simple while saving significant time. With InstaLay, there is no need for tape. It can also be used as a self-adhesive acoustic underlayment for LVTs, solid, engineered and laminate wood floors, woven vinyl, and ceramic tiles, carpet tiles and carpets.
